RydMatch ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the RydMatch mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). RydMatch is a social platform for motorcyclists and bicyclists to discover compatible riding partners, plan rides, and share routes.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, username, password, profile photo, and date of birth (used to verify age requirements) when you create an account.
• Rider Profile Data: Ride type preference (motorcycle, bicycle, or both), riding style, experience level, bike type, preferred routes, and availability.
• Location Data: GPS location data when you enable live tracking features. You can disable this at any time.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including features used and time spent.
• Communications: Messages sent through our in-app chat feature.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
• Website Data: Cookies, analytics data, contact form submissions, and waitlist signups collected through rydmatch.com.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the RydMatch Service
• Verify that users meet the applicable minimum age requirement based on their selected ride type
• Match you with compatible riders based on your profile, ride type, and preferences

5. Location Data

RydMatch uses location data to power live ride tracking and to suggest nearby riders. Location sharing is opt-in and can be disabled at any time in your device settings or within the app. When you disable location sharing, other users will not be able to see your real-time position.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or security purposes. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being permanently removed.

9. Age Requirements & Minors

RydMatch enforces minimum age requirements based on the ride type(s) you select when creating your account:

• Bicycle riders only: You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
• Motorcycle riders only: You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
• Both motorcycle and bicycle riders: You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

If a bicycle-only user later adds motorcycle riding to their profile, the 18+ requirement will apply, and age verification may be required to complete the change.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from users below the applicable minimum age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@rydmatch.com and we will promptly delete the account and associated data.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of certain data processing activities
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

11. Region-Specific Rights

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. RydMatch does not sell your personal information.

EU/UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): You have the rights listed in Section 10, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The legal bases for our processing include consent, contract performance, and legitimate interests.

12. International Data Transfers

RydMatch operates globally, and your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than your own. We implement appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required, to protect your data during international transfers in accordance with applicable law.
